That is the date that she was born
She would be 87 years young today
But her life ended too soon
And all I have left are the memories
The days spent with her during my youth
The nights cuddled in her arms
The weekend or week long trips to the Lake
And posing for pictures that she took
A woman of great strength
But not too proud to ask when needed
